Peru, world's most attractive destination offering high quality foo

Peru is the world's most attractive destination for those looking to enjoy high quality food at low prices, announced Peru's renowned chef and president of the Peruvian Gastronomic Association (Apega), Gaston Acurio.

"The average bill for a diner in other countries is estimated to amount to 250 dollars; but in Peru, a diner can pay up to 40 dollars to sample some traditional Peruvian food in a high quality prestigious restaurant," he said.

According to Acurio, the average bill will increase as Peru builds up its country brand, driven mainly by foreign tourists arriving in the country.

"People will be willing to pay more if Peru is recognized as valuable asset," he told Peruvian television news channel (Canal N).

However, the important thing is that this money can benefit workers and especially farm workers.
