Europe, US tourists book most luxurious spa hotels in Cusco

Europeans and Americans lead the list of tourists who demand the most luxurious spa hotels in the Imperial City of Cusco, according to the Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel, located in the Urubamba Valley.

These tourists have developed different ways to make tourism and most of them prefer trips including not only cultural and archaeological contents, but also comfort, pointed out Gabriel Alvarez, Aranwa operations vice-president.

Alvarez indicated that the arrival of tourists is still prudent and the number of bookings is slowly increasing as the world economies are just recovering from financial crisis.

“Don't forget that Cusco was also struck by natural phenomenons from the beginning of the year which affected the stay in hotels”, he told Andina news agency.

Alvarez made clear that the reservations made from abroad for the first quarter of the year were not cancelled; they were just postponed since those who made them understood it was a situational stage.
