Caral archaeological site offers its grounds to New Years celebrati
The Peruvian Ministry of Culture is welcoming visitors to the archaeological site Caral for a New Year’s Eve unlike any ever had.
A two day tour beginning Dec. 31 will take a limited number of adventuring souls from Lima, 200 kilometers north, for days of meditation, story telling, and exploration in what is considered the oldest civilization of the Americas.
The head of Tourism Promotion and Communications of Caral, Sonia Meza, described the event to be one that “they will never forget.”
The brave that make the trip will install their own camp or find available accommodations near the site’s pyramidal buildings, then after a delicious dinner, they will enjoy a campfire and a night of oral Andean tradition to ring in the New Year.
